Why cotton classics belong in a lasting wardrobe

Long-staple cotton, tight weave, honest construction — the shirt that quietly does the most work in a wardrobe.

Staple length is the whole argument. Longer fibres mean fewer ends at the surface, which means less pilling and a smoother hand after fifty washes.

A two-ply poplin or an oxford in a mid weight will hold its shape where a thin, loosely spun cloth will not.

Cotton is the fibre that rewards repair: collars can be turned, cuffs replaced, buttons matched.
